IT'S IN THE DETAILS

Yesterday I got an email from my wedding photographer Lyndsey Fagerlund and she let me know that MY WEDDING was featured on the Utah Bride And Groom Website!! How cool is that?! I was pretty excited. I loved my wedding (shocker I know), but I am so happy that so many others can see it now. I put so much love and time into all of the details- as did all of the wonderful friends and family that helped me. Lyndsey is an amazing photographer and definitely captured the day beautifully.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am spending it sewing curtains, cleaning my home, writing up instructions for some classes my mom will be teaching soon, AND painting some signs for customers. Busy busy busy around here!

WE'RE ALL A LITTLE BATTY

With Halloween being one of my favorite holidays I decided to have some friends over to carve pumpkins and have a little party. It was so much fun decorating our home and I love how it turned out.

First I decided to create my bat wall. About a month ago I mentioned this was on my to-do list and I finally got around to it this week. I love how it turned out!

It is so easy to do! first I just traced out half of a bat. I only traced out half so that when I was using it as a stencil I could just flip it over and the bat would be symmetrical. I had two different bat patterns because one was going to be 3D. After that I just cut all of the bats out and taped them to the wall!

For the party we had soup, homemade bread, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, caramel apples, and candy!

The banner was so EASY to make. It took  three sheets of paper. the Letters were all from one sheet of my moms Halloween Collection this year. Then I alternated black and spiderweb as the background. I threaded ribbon through it and that's it!

Chicken tortilla soup and cheesy broccoli soup.

Devan is so cute and wanted to help decorate. He placed spiderweb throughout the rooms to make it feel "spooky". He personally requested that I posted pictures of his handiwork.

His comment as he decorated this picture is that it made us look old and dead... yay?

And now I will stop babbling and you can see the rest of the fun pictures from the night. We went to a pumpkin patch right by our house and had oodles of fun!

NO REST FOR THE ENGAGED!

WOW! so much has been going on. With the wedding less than 3 weeks away (YAY!) I have had so much to do. Needless to say blogging got put on the back burner for a bit. So today I am feeling a little under the weather and with nothing to do while lying in bed I am taking this opportunity to catch up a little bit:)

This past month's highlights:

It's been taking me FOREVER to make the bridesmaids bouquets. Probably because I get bored and want to move around a lot, but still. I have three more to bust out and they'll be done. Aren't they pretty though? I loved the idea of making them from old books that I found for 50 Cents each! :) (Devan likes to point out all of the iffy words he finds on random petals. ha!)

Devan has been so helpful with putting together decorations. We built a big 15 foot long hanging device that we will hang lots of ribbon and pom poms from (bottom center picture).

We have gone on some fun dates with some of our best friends:) I seriously don't know what I would do without them. Here we went on a date to a ropes course... I didn't think it would be scary.. and then I got up there and I was terrified. By the end my courage had gone up a little bit though and I wasn't holding on for dear life.

My birthday was a couple of weeks ago. We went to the Melting Pot for dinner:)

And Somebody really handsome graduated from College:)

Devan and his younger brother Cameran

Always a goofball!

This is Devan on his first day of kindergarten and then at his college graduation. What. A. Stud.
This is the cute balloon his parents got him. Devan got an ipad from them for graduation. Needless to say he was very excited:)

I moved out of my last college apartment with roommates! It was so much fun living with so many girls over the years and they have all become some of my best friends. Gonna miss them, but excited to live with my new best friend soon:)

Now I am living with my sister Taylor for the next couple of weeks until I get married. :)

I picked up my wedding dress!! It is SO beautiful and everything that I had hoped for:) I can't wait to wear it!

And last, but CERTAINLY not least. My fiancé everyone. Isn't he hot?

I hope everyone has a fabulous week:)
