HUMP DAY

It's Wednesday everybody and that means it is hump day... so to help get you over the hump here is a cute video from our wedding day that just came in the mail:)

First let me tell you- when I was planning my wedding one of the things I knew I "needed" was a videographer. I had seen so many amazing videos and had heard from so many people that their favorite thing from their wedding day is having that video so that they can see what was actually happening instead of all posed pictures. So as I was planning I knew I wanted one, but I also knew I did not want to spend a fortune...so eventually I had basically given up on finding one when I found Don Garrett from Hobble Creek Media on a google search. And he was only charging around $500.00!!! It was my happy day because seriously guys so many cost AT LEAST $1500.00, which was not worth it to me when there were so many other aspects of the wedding that had to be paid for. Don was so great to work with and was so invested in his work and I am so happy I found him... And it might be just me, but I think he did just a good a job (or better) as any of the other videos I've seen!

Hope you loved it. I know I do. :)

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Autumn. I can't even begin to describe what a great mood I have been in these past couple of weeks. It has rained at least a couple of times a week, the colors of the leaves are changing beautifully, there is a briskness to the air that only comes this time of year. Right now I am sitting in my living room with the door to outside open, a light jacket on, a fall candle burning... basically just loving life. It is great.

This weekend we were supposed to go on a camping trip with our friends, but unfortunately it rained (bittersweet). So we decided to make it a fun weekend instead. On friday they came to Springville and we all went to dinner at a place called The Trolley. You guys. This place is amazing. And cute. There is a trolley train car that is part of the restaurant so it feels so unique. On top of that the food is SO good.

So we all had fun there and then went back to play games, but ended up talking and laughing for hours. It was so fun and relaxing. We have some great friends.

On saturday we all watched the Alabama vs. Texas A&M and hung out.
I love him:)

Today Devan and I went on a drive up the canyon. It was gorgeous. AND better yet it is going to keep getting prettier throughout the month.

This inspired me to decorate for the fall! So I made this:

It's so easy guys! Everyone can do it. And it makes it feel so good in here!

First I found this image on google and printed it out.

Then I cut around the leaf and traced it onto my different patterned papers I had chosen.

On some of the white leaves I sprinkled some brown glitter to give it a little pop.

Once I laid out all of my leaves in the order I wanted them I just used some orange and white twine to attach them together!

This whole process only took a couple of hours and I did it while watching a show so it seemed to fly by. Hope you enjoy and had a great weekend of your own:)

THE LOVE BOX

As most of you probably have seen, my stepdad Tyler has been diagnosed with cancer and is fighting for his life. Since most of our family does not live directly by them, it is hard to see them all of the time and visit. So my mom always sends us updates on him through emails, texts, and calls. We are a VERY close family- always have been- and it means so much to keep in touch with each other.

ANYWAYS, today my mom sent us another email update and she told us about something called The Love Box. One of our sweet neighbors built a nice box, labeled it "Love Box" and put it on our porch. He told my mom that it was there so that anybody can bring by meals, or anything that they think my family might need anytime of the day. They can leave it in the box so that they don't have to ring the doorbell incase Tyler is sleeping or they aren't home and they don't have to worry about germs.

When I heard about this box I thought it was the sweetest and most thoughtful thing. We obviously have the BEST neighbors and friends. But it got me thinking about other reasons we can have a Love Box for. Maybe leave things for a spouse or child randomly? Or a teacher for their classroom? There are so many great possibilities! And they can be decorated so many ways. I definitely plan on making one of these in my near future.

 Happy Wednesday Everybody:)

TRIALS

So you might have seen my mothers blog about what has been going on in our family. If not you can read all about it here. It's a hard thing to be going through but I believe in just being positive and we can make it through it. Tyler is so strong and he has never been one to give up.

MY FRIDAY LIST

Sometimes there is so much going on that you just need to take a little break and find some happiness. So here is a list of the little things in my life that I am loving right now.

These Pillows! So dang cute and on my list of fun projects. Side note- I told Devan I would take a break on all of the home projects for a while though ;)

I LOVE crepes! Like I used to make them ALL of the time, but then it took so much time that I haven't made them in a while. Then i found this recipe! It is so dang easy and delicious! Not many ingredients and so fast to make. Not to mention people will be impressed with your great cooking skills.

And while we are talking about recipes this one for GIANT chocolate chip cookies is quite great. Devan will text me all of the time with pictures of them asking to make them again (although we do cut out a little of the butter or they go a little flat).

This is cute. Another happy project on my list.

And yes. My FAVORITE time of year is coming. The changing leave, brisk air, boots, jackets, hot chocolate, halloween, pumpkins,... and SO much more. I could just go on forever. Devan told me the other day that every time it rains he immediately thinks of me because i am slightly obsessed.

I mean, how cute is this wall decoration? I am definitely doing this!

WERKKIN' IT

For real. I have been working so much lately. On Monday was Labor Day and I was supposed to work, but at the last minute I didn't have to. Let me tell you... it was HEAVEN! Seriously. I had NOTHING to do for the first time in it seems like forever. I started out by throwing on some sweats, taking a nap, then cleaned and felt SO good afterwards. I was actually rested when I woke up the next morning.

So anyways... on the topic of working I have started a new adventure! I opened an ETSY shop called YouAreMyHappyShop. I am so so excited to see how I can grow it eventually. I am not taking myself too seriously. Just a fun side job to let out my creative side. So far I have posted one design for a sign, but plan on adding more eventually.

Yesterday I sold my FIRST sign:) I opened my email and did a little happy dance on the spot.
So if you or anyone you know is getting married and want a welcome sign at your wedding let them know about me! I would appreciate it so much. And for the month of September when you order you can use coupon code: GRANDOPENING for 10% off!

HER NAME IS TERESA...

...And she's my mom.

Often over the past couple of years I have had many people tell me "You are just like your mother!", "You two are so much alike", and "Wow, that is something your mom would do". Guess what? I love it. My mom is my inspiration. She is so freaking strong. So Beautiful. So hard working, caring, spiritual, and more.
... And i couldn't be happier about it.

This is a shout out to my mother. I love you. YOU can do hard things. YOU inspire so many people including me. YOU are strong. Remember that.
